Ten years ago I was walking by a store front that featured hand beaded jewelry that I thought my mother would like as a gift. I went in. Now, over ten years later, and more than a few necklace gifts later, I am still making jewelry with the stones I always loved and admired and selling them at area craft shows.
My collection varies depending on the stones I find and the vendors I visit. Every year I attend the Tucson Gem and Jewelry Shows in February. A little r&r mixed with stone shopping makes for a great visit. I use high quality stones and sterling silver on most pieces. As the price of silver has greatly increased this last year, I’ve added pewter (no nickel) and silver plate to help stretch out your dollar. Assume the clasps are sterling and most charms. I will label the non-sterling or mixed jewelry as such.
Paternostri comes from the latin “Pater” Nostri” or “Our Father”. An inspiring bead book referenced “Paternostris” as a nickname for beads in Italy.
